Day 81: Hot Rollers

Hair du Jour Day 81:  March 21, 2012

Hot Rollers

How to do it:
Let me just start by saying I just bought the most amazing set of rollers for my hair that I have ever owned.  Fast heating, but won't burn your hands, only 2 sizes of rollers (instead of those pesky little ones), clips not pins, and 20 of them.  Allegedly they are ceramic.  Remington something or other at Target for 34.99.  Love.

Plug in rollers...many will heat in 90 seconds.  Starting from the pieces nearest your face (will be set the longest and keep curl well), Roll 1/2 inch sections of hair up.  Put the roller on top of the hair, tuck ends around and roll upward.  Clip.  Repeat along natural hair line rotating back and forth between sides of hair for even heating.  Leave in for 3-5 minutes (or until clips feel relatively cool).  Unwind.  You will look like a tart with super tight curls...mine were very Farrah Fawcett and quite the rage with my husband and grandparents :)  Finger comb out and set with a light spritzing of hairspray, just to retain shape and tame frizz.  Excellent.

Time to do it:  About 2 minutes to set and 3 after that

Excellent. Polished look with almost no effort.  I did this while talking to my husband and his grandparents while he was cooking.  No mirror.  In the kitchen.  Bam!  Will SO do this on a reg basis...worth the time of setting it just to look polished and not rolled out of bed-ish.  Sweetneaasss. <3
