Cloth Pliable Styler Thingy

I really wish I knew the name of this thingy.  Any helpers?  Ma bestie, Amy, got this for me and I'm sure it has a majillion uses, but of course I threw the instructions away.  Live dangerously?  Of course (not) Loose things?  A little?  Invent things that are not on instruction manuals?  Yessssssssss!

How to do it:
